| If a Dwarf wants to be tossed, then it's O.K. by me. | ||||||||||
| I have received some negative comments about my Dwarf page so I decided to explain my position. In the late 70’s and early 80’s Dwarf tossing became quite popular in various bars in Southern California. They would set up a bunch of mats and cushions and for a few dollars you could toss a Dwarf and see how far you could fling him. They had various contests and prizes. The Dwarfs were paid and well protected. Some would get 200 dollars for a night of tossing. My position is that if a Dwarf wants to be tossed then its OK by me. (I am against indiscriminant tossing and would be quite offended if a Dwarf was at a McDonalds and someone grabbed him by the arm and chucked him.) Anyway I found out that the United Nations passed a resolution against Dwarf Tossing. I feel that this is wrong and hurts the Dwarf population. How many Dwarfs do you see working? They are height challenged and this prevents them from many jobs. In today’s market I bet a Dwarf can make 500 dollars a night or more being tossed. My position is that the UN and all governments need to stay out of peoples business. I respect the rights of Dwarf that do not want to be tossed but also figure if they are agreeable to being tossed I have no objections. We may need to have some sort of regulations to insure tossing is safe but in general we need to lighten up. |
