Sentry Insurance - On August 9th 2001 I was riding my motorcycle down a country road. I came to the top of a hill and a car was heading into my lane. The woman driving was looking to her right and swerving towards me. I went around her and on to the shoulder of the road. The shoulder was narrow and had loose gravel, I crashed. I hit the ground at 45mph and screwed up my leg and bike. The bike had $3500 worth of damage and my leg about the same. I figured since I was still alive and did not hit the car, I was not in too bad of shape. I was sure the lady would have insurance. It turned out she did have insurance but she lied about causing the accident. It also turned out she was the Sentry Insurance Agent for Waupaca, Wisconsin. The Sentry people said since there were no other witnesses to the accident they were not going to pay. They also said that it would have been better if I had hit the car, then I would have proof. Let’s see - Motorcycle Vs Buick, hmm? I guess motorcyclists have a habit of simply driving off perfectly good roads on nice summer days. It could have been  worse, she could have been a lawyer.
