KERRY WILL SAVE US ???

As the election draws near the democrats have a few problems with Senator John Kerry. They cannot run on his record because after 20+ years in the Senate he has done little of note. They cannot run on a bad economy because the country is on an upswing. They cannot run on job loss because in the 20 years as a Senator, Kerry is partly responsible for the various policies and tax regulations that encourages companies to go overseas. They cannot run on health care because, after all, the Senate has catered to the special interests and has done nothing to curb rising costs. The only thing left is the war in Iraq.  He did serve in the military but that in itself is a minor fact. After all, Carter was also in the military and look what he did.

Lets take a look at some numbers that cannot be refuted.

WAR                 PRESIDENT            PARTY         US DEAD

WW1                   Wilson                      Dem              53,402

WW2              FDR /TRUMAN             Dem            291,557

KOREA             TRUMAN                    Dem              33,686

VIETNAM         JFK / LBJ                    Dem              43,660

VIETNAM        NIXON                        Rep                 9,336

IRAQ 1            G. H. BUSH                   Rep                   124

IRAQ 2           G. W. BUSH                   Rep                   986

Total         432,751

These are documented battle deaths. If you break them out according to the political party in office then the
Democrats have a total of 422,305 and the Republicans a total of  10446. As a percentage of U.S. deaths, the Democrats are at about 97.5% and the Republicans about 2.5%. How you look at these figures is up to you, but if I were in the military I would sure want a Republican President.  It seems
the Democratic Presidents are much better at getting people killed than the Republicans. As for the Democratic stance that the War in Iraq is a mistake I would say all wars are mistakes. In fact they all could have been avoided if people took action against dictators when they had the chance for an easy victory. In 1936 the French could have defeated Hitler and possibly saved the lives of 30,000,000 or so people, but they had a policy of appeasement and inaction.
GW has neither. I was talking to a friend at work and he said no wonder 98% of all military personal are Republicans.
