| AP: Today, in Saddams hometown of Tikrit, Marines have captured a man who is believed to be the unknown third son of the vanquished dictator. The Marines spirited the man away but reporters were able to identify him as Puday Hussein. Puday is not often talked about and sources tell us he was considered a special needs child. Puday was captured while selling lemonade to passing troop carriers. Sergeant Buck Turgenson said that Puday was identified when he showed pictures of himself with Saddam. “He was quite friendly and was selling good lemonade. When we saw the picture and he told us Saddam was his dad, we took him into custody. We told him we had a pony at the base and he was happy to come with us.” The U.S. led coalition remains silent on the disposition of Puday. The only information released is that Puday was not considered to be in the same class as his brothers. It seems Puday was the "relative no one talked about" and he spends his days playing with blocks. When supervised, he sometimes was allowed to pet kittens. Early reports are that Puday will be released to relatives and placed in a special school to learn assisted living. (Other reports say Puday rode the little bus and often wore a helmet.) |
